My dog training journey began when I adopted my first dog, Airlie, while in college at UNCW. Having grown up with dogs, I expected that training would come easily to me, but quickly found myself researching and learning each day.
After school I ended up in the corporate world working for a software company, but every day searching for something that I felt truly passionate about. At home I was spending all of my spare time working with our new puppy, Oakley, and my wife recognized how much I enjoyed it. She encouraged me to look into a career in dog training.
I started my career at Sit Means Sit Raleigh, where I learned how to work with different breeds, temperaments, and behavioral issues. Each day I realized more and more how much joy I felt when I saw the difference I could make in people’s lives.
After 2 years as a training consultant for Sit Means Sit Raleigh, in August 2022 I went to school in Las Vegas, NV to train and certify under some of the best dog trainers in the world, and returned to open up Sit Means Sit Wilmington.
